Uncle Sam

Uncle Sam is a symbol of the United States of America. His actual origin may be obscure. According to the legend, the American Army in Troy received an amount of cans as supply. On the cans there was a sign „U.S.” which is for United States. The soldiers began to identify „U.S.” with Uncle Sam(uel Wilson), a meat-packer from Troy, New York.

Explore America from a bird's-eye view! I'm sure you have already used Google's Map function. You can search not only addresses but coordinates too. You can find some coordinates below; copy and paste them in the Search field, set the map to Satellite view, and get surprised!
